14、owing of food crops. However, researchers point out that the greening in the future depends on numerous aspects, both on a global level and the local human level. For example, increased crop production in India is promoted by groundwater irrigation. If the groundwater is running out, its crop produ

15、ction will be on the decrease, leading to less greening. The gain in greenness seen around the world and led by China and India does not offset the damage from loss of natural vegetation in tropical regions, such as Brazil and Indonesia. The consequences for sustainability (可持續(xù)性) and biodiversity i

Nemani is pretty excited about the findings, not just because the greener, the better. “Once people realize there's a problem, they tend to fix it,” he said. “In the 70s and 80s in India and China, the situation around vegetation loss wasn't good; in the 90s, people reali

In Norway, it costs 1 million kroner (about 0.8 million yuan) per year to have someone in a care home. This system costs 15,000 kroner a year.” So, for those who hav
