教學(xué)設(shè)計
教材中本課主要內(nèi)容分為三個部分,即語法、表達(詞匯)和聽力。
語法部分主要是進一步學(xué)習(xí)和應(yīng)用英語中省略句的表達。通過觀察課文句子、改寫句子練習(xí)幫助學(xué)生更好地理解該知識點,使印象更加深刻,從而在日后學(xué)習(xí)中能靈活使用。
表達(詞匯)部分是向?qū)W生介紹自然界中其他存在的自然災(zāi)害。此外,通過該練習(xí)還可幫助學(xué)生提高聽力技巧,使學(xué)生在實際文本中提高語言的理解能力。

(1) 學(xué)生能夠借助關(guān)鍵詞,在理解文章大意的基礎(chǔ)上,找出段落主題句,完成讀前問題;
(2) 用所學(xué)的詞匯和語言的對課文進行復(fù)述;
(3) 能夠讀懂細節(jié)信息并能理解閱讀中生詞含義。

(1) 能夠正確運用一下單詞和短語: forecast, grab, tsunami, reliable, rescue, emergency, typhoon, blizzard, avalanche, exceptionally, claim, crisis, threaten, satellite, precisely等。
(2) 能夠理解文章中長難句并準確翻譯。

(1) 了解自然災(zāi)害相關(guān)話題;
(2) 了解人們對自然災(zāi)害的認識和態(tài)度。
4. 情感態(tài)度目標
正確認識自然災(zāi)害對人類造成的的影響,以及思考如何能夠積極地避免這些自然自然,從而為社會、人類做貢獻。
1. 理解文章邏輯關(guān)系及架構(gòu),理解文章寫作意圖;
2. 引導(dǎo)學(xué)生討論對自然災(zāi)害造成的影響的認識和感受。

Remove words from the news report to make it more concise.

Complete the reports with the words in last activity. Pay attention to the w

Activity-3
Work in pairs. Talk about a recent natural disaster you have heard about or seen on the news.

1) Read “Did You Know” and learn more information about extreme weather conditions.
2) Look at the “Learning to learn” and get some skills.

Listen to the the weather forecast and match the weather symbols to the locations on the map.

2) Now talk about how the speaker describes the weather. Listen again if necessary.
4. Post-listening
1) Work in pairs. Act out the conversation to talk about an extreme weather condition.
2) Choose another extreme weather condition and have a similar conversation.

Step-4 Language points
1. It is also said that mice and snakes head for safer ground several days before an earthquake, while dogs avoiding the beach may be a sign that a tsunami is approaching.
[句式分析] 本句有三處語言點需要
12、掌握。①詞組head for譯為“朝…去”,此處head是動詞,for后加目的地。②非謂語動詞avoiding作dogs的定語,主動關(guān)系用現(xiàn)在分詞。③that引導(dǎo)同位語從句,解釋說明sign的內(nèi)容。
[嘗試翻譯] 據(jù)說,地震前幾天老鼠和蛇會前往更安全的地方;而狗躲避海灘可能是海嘯來臨的跡象。
2. On hearing the news, China was quick to start organising emergency aid.
[句式分析] 本句的on hearing the news可譯為“一聽到這個消息”,詞組on+doing sth表示“一……就”,與“as soon as, the immediately”有類似意思。
[嘗試翻譯] 一聽到這個消息,中國就迅速開始組織緊急援助。
