體裁演練(2017·全國新課標(biāo)Ⅰ) I work with Volunteers for Wildlife,a rescue and education organization at Bailey Arboretum in Locust Valley.Trying to help injured, displaced or sick creatures can be heartbreaking;survival is never certain. However, when it works,it is simply be

根據(jù)第二段中的“She had found a young owl (貓頭鷹) o
、n the ground.When I arrived,I saw a 2- to 3-week-old owl.” 根據(jù)第四段中的“I placed the chick in the nest,and it quickly calmed down.”
根據(jù)最后一段可知,作者這次救助貓頭鷹幼雛的工作非常成功,再結(jié)合第一段中的“However,when it works,it is simply beautiful.”
短文第四段提到“He was amazed at what Benjamin had done with his gift.”,接著下一段又談到“...Mr.Pennington gave Benjamin materials for creating oil paintings.”,由此可知,潘寧頓送給本杰明繪畫材料來幫助他發(fā)展藝術(shù)才能,故選B項。
由文章最后兩句“While it is likely that he understood very little of the books, they were his introduction to classical paintings. The nine-year-old boy decided then that he would be an artist.”
I shall never forget the way he stood for a long moment and stared at the bird on the ground. 句中he stood for a long moment and stared at the
、 bird on the ground為省略了關(guān)系代詞的定語從句,修飾先行詞way。 根據(jù)“When I explained that my baseball had broken Mrs. Holt's basement window, Steve encouraged me to”和下文內(nèi)容可知,“我”玩棒球時打碎了Holt夫人家的窗戶,哥哥鼓勵“我”向Holt夫人承認(rèn)錯誤。
根據(jù)第二段的“Although my knees knocked as I explained to Mrs. Holt, I offered to pay for the window if she would return my ball”可知,“我”在向Holt夫人解釋情況時雙腿打顫。 根據(jù)最后一段的第一句“Yet of all the instructions Steve gave me, his respect for life is the most vivid in my mind”可知,在所有的教育
根據(jù)第一段中的“When the studio didn't want me for the film—it wanted somebody as well
、known as Paul—he stood up for me.” 根據(jù)第二段中的“Both of us had the qualities and virtues that are typical of American actors: hum

、rom a tradition of theater and live TV.” 根據(jù)第三段第一句“We shared the belief that...”
、據(jù)文章第一段中的“This time, however, the cleanup was a little different. As one group of workers carried out the rubbish, another group began removing seats and other theater equipment in preparation for the building's end.” A項是對第一段中other theate
、r equipment in preparation for the building's end的曲解,不是給新設(shè)備騰地方,是影院要關(guān)門了。D項是對第一段第二句中in the theater's 75-year history的曲解,影院開了75年了,但清掃不是影院75周年紀(jì)念的標(biāo)志。 根據(jù)第二段中的“Theater owner Ed Bradford said he chose the movie because it seemed appropriate.” The Last Pictur
根據(jù)第四段中的“...which plans to build a shopping complex on the land where the theater is located.” 根據(jù)第二段中的“Though the movie is 30 years old, most of
