Unit 2 School life
My ideal school
My ideal school is near a beautiful park.It takes only 10 minutes to get to the
6、 city centre by bus.The school is not large but it covers an area of about 20,000 square meters.In the school,there is a modern library and three wonderful labs.We also have a big playground,a football field and an indoor swimming pool.
There are less than 1,000 students and over 100 teachers in my
7、 ideal school.The classes are quite small.Each class has about 30 student.My school begins at 8 a.m.and finishes at 4 p.m.We have an hou for lunch at noon.After lunch,we can take part in all kinds of activities.My ideal school life is really nice.

Unit 3 A day out

Beijing is a busy city with many places of interest.There are many museums,parks and shopping centres.Green trees are on each side of the highway.All these make life in Beijing more comfortable and colourful.
Last month,I i
15、nvited Uncle Tom to visit Beijing.He is generous and have a good sense of humour.When he arrived here,he couldn’t believe his eyes.He said the buildings became higher.He decided to tell his friends about these as soon as possible.

Sam will go back home soon.We are planing a day out on Sunday,15 June.
Here is the plan.
We will meet at the gate of Xuanwu Lake Park at 8 a.m.We will spend two hours in the park.We can take photos and row boats there.Then we will go to Confucious Temple by underground.It takes
17、about half an hour.We can go shopping,have lunch and eat local snacks there.We will leave at about 2 p.m.and go to Sun Yet-sen’s Mausoleum by bus.We will be ther for about two hours.We can visit the Mausoleum,enjoy the beautiful views and fresh air there.
The cost is about 50 yuan per student.

A trip to Nanjing
On April 7th we went on a trip to Nanjing.I got up early that morning so that I could arrive on time.I arrived at the school gate at 7:50 a.m.The coach left at 8:00 a.m.I felt very excited on the coach.We reached
19、 Jinhai Temple at about 9:00 a.m.There we not only saw the old temple but also knew some things in history.
After we left the old temple at 10:30 a.m.,we went straight to Dr.Sun Yet-sen’s Mausoleum.After a hurry lunch,we began to climb the mountain.There were so many steps that we felt a little tir
20、ed. Our teacher told us a lot about Dr.Sun.Yet-sen during the visit,and we all felt that he was a great man.
This is a trip I’ll never forget.
Our class is going to have a picnic in Cunjun Park next Sunday.Next Sunday mroning,we re going to meet at the school gate at 8:00 and take the bus go the
21、re.The bus will take us back at 2:00 p.m. We will have many activities there,such as singing,dancing,having a picnic and taking photos with our teachers.Everyone will enjoy themselves there.You can take some food and drinks with you.But do remember,safety is the first.And we must keep away from fire all the time.
