2.根據(jù)構(gòu)詞法判斷
Mice and deer are good weather indicators.
Indicator的詞根是indicate (顯示), -or是名詞后綴,表示人或工具,由此可知indicator意思是“標(biāo)志,信號”。
3.根據(jù)上下文中的因果釋義
The river is so turbid that it is impossible to see the bottom even when it i

從it is impossible to see the bottom even when it is shallow(即使在河流水淺的時候都不能見底)可以推斷河流很臟,由此可知turbid的意思。
4.根據(jù)上下文的解釋
It will be very hard but very brittle---that is, it will break easily.
由that is 可知后面的it will break easily是對brittle的解釋。
