一、教學目標
認知目標: 理解句子What day is today?并學會用It’s……的句式回答。
技能目標: 能根據圖片用What day is today? It’s……進行問答。
情感目標: 了解一些節(jié)日,并懂得這些節(jié)日的意義。
二、教學過程:
Step 1. Pre-task preparation
1. Sing together. 《Days of the Week》.
2. Look at the word cards and read one by one.

T: Look at the board. Can you find out the correct word for them? Please come to the front and stick the word on the right place.

1. Show today’s calendar.
T: Today is ……(date). Now look, who ca

S1: It’s Monday/ Tuesday/ Wednesday/ Thursday/ Friday.
2. Ask and answer.
① Teacher asks some students to answer: What day is today?
Write the sentences on the board: What day is today?
It’s …….
Ss repeat the structure.

T: Now let’s do some pair work. Please ask and answer with your deskmate.
Teacher then asks some groups to act out.
3. Show the slide of Page 39.
① Picture 1.
T: Suppose today’s January 1st, 2002. We all know that January 1st is New Year’s Day. Follow me: New Year’s Day.

T: Look at the picture carefully. What day is today? Who can answer?
S1: It’s Tuesday.

T: Look at this picture. Who can do some pair work?

Step 3. Post-task activities

T: Now let’s have a match. OK? Listen to me carefully.

8、ds, and the other takes the English cards. The one who can take the right card quickly is the winner. Who can have a try?
T: I also need your help. Which pair can help me?
S1: What day is today?
S2: It’s Sunday/ Monday/ Tuesday/ Wednesday/ Thursday/ Friday/ Saturday.
2. A guessing game.
T: Then let’s play a guessing game. I need two students join in the game each time. One looks at the Chinese card, then tell your partner mutely in English. And the other must look at his/ her mouth and guess the word.
