I became a student journalist after severe competition against many other applicants. Then I attended a three-day training course given by the local newspaper, which equipped me with some basic knowledge about how to become a journalist. After that, I worked with some experienced journalists and editors for two weeks, during which I learned a lot about how to interview, write reports, edit and take photos, which are all parts of journalists’ daily tasks. From my experience, I realize that to be a journalist, one must have a sharp mind and a good nose for the news. It is also important to know how to communicate with others.
