Unit 7 Travelling in Garden City 教學(xué)設(shè)計思路: 本教學(xué)設(shè)計是針對學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣不夠好,基礎(chǔ)較弱的預(yù)初同學(xué)。 1. 詞匯課:上學(xué)期已經(jīng)全面復(fù)習(xí)和鞏固了音標(biāo),本學(xué)期繼續(xù)訓(xùn)練同學(xué)們看音標(biāo)拼讀單詞的能力。 2. 閱讀理解課:預(yù)初年級的英語學(xué)習(xí)以聽說會話為主,但從本學(xué)期開始有語篇的學(xué)習(xí),學(xué)生們閱讀習(xí)慣和能力的培養(yǎng)需從低年級開始。本單元的文章是本冊書中較長的一篇,學(xué)生們還不太適應(yīng)理解較長的語篇,所以將第二課時專門設(shè)計為閱讀理解課型。理解全篇之前,先復(fù)習(xí)重點單詞和短語,理解較難的長句。 3. 語法課:理解一般現(xiàn)在和一般過去兩個時態(tài),并能運用兩種時態(tài)完成說和寫的任務(wù)。 4. 寫作課:能寫幾句關(guān)于交通狀況的英文。 Period 1 New words 教學(xué)目標(biāo):學(xué)會準(zhǔn)確朗讀新單詞,并對單詞的漢語意思有初步的了解。 教學(xué)重難點:多音節(jié)單詞的拼讀;能聽懂帶有few, perhaps, none & instead的句子。 教學(xué)步驟: Step 1 To read the words 1)To let the students read the words by themselves according to the sounds. 2)To ask a few students to read the words ,then the teacher read each word and the students listen carefully. After that, the students read the words by themselves again.The teacher read the words which are difficult for students to read. Finally the students read each word twice after the teacher. Step 2 To say the words 1)15 nouns(double-decker, single-decker, fare, transportation, conductor, taffic jam, motorcycle, fly over, railway, pavement, tunnel, bridge, crossing, footbridge, poster.): To show the pictures to the students and let them say the words. 2) 4 adverbs ( instead, still, perhaps, nowadays ): To show a few sentences with the adverbs, ask the students to read them and then say the Chinese meaning. * My bike doesnt work, so I have to walk to school instead. * There is still a little milk in your glass. You’d better finish it off. * Our answers are different. Perhaps yours is right. * In the past, we lived in a small flat. Nowadays we live in a big one. 3)3 pronouns( none, few, most ) : To show 3 English sentences and ask the students to translate them into Chinese. * None of the teachers like lazy students. * There are few cars in the street today. Its a little strange. * Most of the children has got some red packets from their family and relatives. 4) 1 adjective ( public ): To show a few phrases. public places, public rules, public parks Step 3 To use the words 1) To match the pictures with the words( About nouns ). 2) To complete the sentences according to the Chinese meaning( About adverbs ). * 我的自行車壞了,只好以步代車步行去學(xué)校。 My bike doesnt work, so I have to walk to school . * 你的杯子里仍然有一點兒牛奶,你最好喝完它。 There is a little milk in your glass. You’d better finish it off. * 我們倆的答案不一樣,可能你的答案是對的。 Our answers are different. yours is right. * 以前,我們住在小房子里,現(xiàn)如今,我們住在大房子里。 In the past, we lived in a small flat. we live in a big one. 3) To translate three sentences. * 沒有老師喜歡懶惰的(lazy)學(xué)生。 。 * 今天街上沒幾輛車,有點兒奇怪(strange)。 。 * 過春節(jié)時,大多數(shù)孩子都收到了家人和親戚給的紅包(red packets)。 。 Step 4 Homework: To read the new words after the tape and start to remember the spelling. Period 2 Buses(用修改組合的PPT, 附在教案后) 教學(xué)目標(biāo): 1. 學(xué)習(xí)并掌握表數(shù)量的4個短語(all of, most of, some of, none of)。 2. 閱讀過程中注意In the past和Nowadays兩個時間背景下的對比。 3. 熟悉并運用本單元中與公交車有關(guān)的單詞和短語,理解短文的意思。 教學(xué)難點:1. 單詞instead所在句子的理解 2. none of 短語作主語表全否定 教學(xué)步驟(Teaching procedure): I. Warming-up: Reading four tongue-twisters and enjoy English. II. Pre-task preparation 1. Learning four phrases( pictures and phrases ): all of, most of, some of, none of. Complete the sentences by using the phrases: 1)______________ us are students. 2)______________ us are adults(成年人). 3)_____________ us are girls. 4)_____________ us are boys. 5)_____________ us study hard. 2. Reviewing six noun phrases ( pictures and words ): a single-decker bus, a fare box, a double-decker bus, an air-conditioned bus, a bus conductor , a public transportation card. III.While-task procedure: 1. Reading the first paragraph 1) Reading after the record sentence by sentence. 2) Reading the paragraph in chorus. 2. Reading the second and third paragraph. 1) Reading after the record sentence by sentence. 2) Reading the paragraph in chorus. 3. Answering four true/false questions. * In the past, all of the buses had fare boxes. * In the past, some of the buses were air-conditioned. * Nowadays, none of the buses are double-decker buses. * Nowadays, some of the bus drivers are women. 4. Answering eight questions by writing the answers on the sheet. Para 1 1) Where did passengers get their tickets on the bus in the past? 2) Do passengers have to buy tickets from a bus conductor on many buses nowadays? 3) What do people do instead? Para 2 4) What kind of buses were there in Garden City in the past? 5) What kinds of buses can we see in Garden City nowadays? 6) Were there any air-conditioned buses in Garden City in the past? Para 3 7) Were there any women bus drivers in Garden City in the past? 8) Are all of the bus drivers in Garden City men nowdays? IV. Post-task procedure: Filling a table tickets types drivers In the past Nowadays V. Homework: 1. Workbook 6B P42 & P45. 2. Read the passage after the tape carefully. Period 3 Grammar(two tenses) 教學(xué)目標(biāo):在理解短篇內(nèi)容之后,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生注意一般現(xiàn)在時態(tài)和一般過去時態(tài)在 文章中的運用,尤其是兩個典型的時間狀語:In the past 和 Nowadays。 教學(xué)重點:兩種時態(tài)在口頭和筆頭上的運用 教學(xué)步驟: Step 1 To read the passage . 1. The passage 2. The sentences with ‘in the past’ 3. The sentences with ‘nowadays’ Step 2 To fill in the blanks of the passage: M2U7P2-4th,5th,6th . Step 3 To do the exercises: Workbook P42( Yesterday’s homework . Check it ). Step 4 To speak English: M2U7P1-23 th, 24th, 25th . Homework:1. Read or retell the passage on P46 2. Workbook P42, P45( Read ) Period 4 Travelling in 10 years’ time 教學(xué)目標(biāo):在簡單了解現(xiàn)在和過去的交通狀況之后,對將來的交通狀況作簡單的推想,這里需運用到一般將來時態(tài),這也是本模塊的中心內(nèi)容。 教學(xué)難點:一般將來時態(tài)出現(xiàn)在There be句型中 教學(xué)步驟: Step 1 To review the 12 new words( pictures and words ): M2U7P2 Step 2 To listen and say ---- What will travelling in Garden City be like in 10 years’ time? ---- Perhaps none of the people will travel by ferry. ---- Perhaps most of the people will travel by under-ground. ---- Perhaps there will be fewer traffic jams. ---- Perhaps there will be more underground stations.
