2019-2020年八年級(jí)英語 模塊9 Unit2 There were few doctors, so he had to work very hard教案 Function Giving reasons Structure Adverbial clauses with so, because or so that Listening/Speaking ● Listening for specific information; inferring ● Talking about heroes Reading/Writing ● Predicting; reading for main ideas; reading for specific information ● Writing a passage about Yuan Longping Around the world A famous British nurse Task Writing about a hero 模塊9 Unit 2 There were few doctors, so he had to work very hard ■ Warm up by learning about Dr Norman Bethune. 諾爾曼白求恩的一生 諾爾曼白求恩1890年出生于加拿大安大略省格雷文赫斯特鎮(zhèn)。他的胸外科醫(yī)術(shù)在加拿大、英國和美國醫(yī)學(xué)界享有盛名。 白求恩1935年加入加拿大共產(chǎn)黨,中國抗日戰(zhàn)爭爆發(fā)后,1938年3月,他受加拿大共產(chǎn)黨和美國共產(chǎn)黨派遣,率領(lǐng)一個(gè)由加拿大人和美國人組成的醫(yī)療隊(duì)來到延安。他的犧牲精神、工作熱忱、責(zé)任心,均稱模范。白求恩以年近50之軀,多次為傷員輸血,一次竟連續(xù)為115名傷員做手術(shù),持續(xù)時(shí)間達(dá)69個(gè)小時(shí)。 1939年10月下旬,白求恩在河北省淶源縣摩天嶺戰(zhàn)斗中搶救傷員時(shí)左手中指被手術(shù)刀割破,但他不顧傷痛,發(fā)著高燒,堅(jiān)持留在前線指導(dǎo)戰(zhàn)地救護(hù)工作。他說:“你們不要拿我當(dāng)古董,要拿我當(dāng)一挺機(jī)關(guān)槍使用。”終因傷勢(shì)惡化,轉(zhuǎn)為敗血癥,醫(yī)治無效,于11月12日凌晨在河北省唐縣黃石口村逝世。臨終前他講的最后一句話是:“努力吧!向著偉大的路,開辟前面的事業(yè)?!? ■Read the passage. On page 74 is an article about Dr Norman Bethune. Now start reading it. While reading, try to: cut/ the sentence into thought groups, study the predicative, darken the connectives and underline all the useful expressions. Norman Bethune was born in 1890. 2. Norman Bethune is one of Chinas most famous heroes, but he wasnt Chinese一he was Canadian. 3. He became a doctor in 1916. Type 2: He runs. 主語+不及物動(dòng)詞 1. In 1938 he came to China to look after the Chinese soldiers in the mountains north of Yan’an. 2. He had to work very hard. 3. Dr Bethune worked very hard without stopping to rest. 4. In the end, he died because he did not stop to take care of his hand. Type 3: He writes books. 主語+及物動(dòng)詞+賓語 1. He looked after injured soldiers in the First World War. 2. He later he invented new treatments to help soldiers,and medical tools to use outside hospitals. 3. He’s remembered for his work as a doctor treating soldiers in different countries. 4. He opened hospitals to give treatment to local people and soldiers, and to train doctors and nurses. 5. He also wrote books so that doctors could learn about new treatments. 6. Once,he performed operations for 69 hours without stopping, and saved 112 people. 7. He continued working in spite of cutting his hand during an operation. 8. He gives his life to hurdles. Liu Xiang was born in 1983 in Shanghai. He became a sportsman in xx. In xx, Liu won his first IAAF Grand Prix in Lausanne with a World Junior and Asian record time of 13.12 seconds (+1.6 m/s tail wind) in the 110 metres hurdles. Liu is also the world junior indoor record holder in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 7.55s. In May xx at an IAAF race in Osaka Japan, Liu beat Johnson with an Asian-record time of 13.06 seconds. Still young, Liu improves steadily, and won a gold medal at the xx Summer Olympics in the 110 meters hurdles event. In the final, he equaled Colin Jacksons 1993 world record of 12.91 seconds.
