教學目標: Understand the passage and grasp the reading methods.
知識與技能:
1 .Words and grammar.
2.Improve listening ,reading and speaking abilities.

2、ave historic places to visit,but not many have a historic landmark like the Forbidden City in Beijing.Let the students know more about it .Love our country and study English hard.

教學準備:Pictures , videos, computer
學法指導:Give them the reading method.Let them understand the passage using the method.At school ,they should work in pairs or groups so that they can help each other.

Step1.Lead in.
Give them a flash of Forbidden City.
Show them postcards of places of interest.
The students look at the flash and answer where is the palace ? and which palace is it?
They can get some information about Forbidden City and some places of interest.

Skim reading
Give them reading methods Passage practice. Let them find the topic sentence
Let them listen to the tape Find the key words..They can read after it.
1)Students choose the topic sentences about the passage.
2)Students read and listen to the passage.Find out the key

Train the ability of listening , reading and get the exact key words from the passage.
In different questions,the students can think about the passage .They can get the answer quickly.Train their ability of skim reading.
Step3. Activity2:
Careful reading:
Give them three minutes to read
7、 the text carefully and loudly.And answer the questions about words and grammar.They can help in pairs or groups.
Students read carefully and learn by themselves. They can study the new words they didn’t know according to the sentences and passage.
They can ask the questions they want to know.

Step 4.Activity 3:
Free talk:give 2m to discuss in groups.
Give them two minutes to discuss in groups. “Which place do
9、you want to visit? Why?” Practise the object clause.
Let them practice in groups and they can also practise the object clause.
Step5. Summury
One minute to think about what they have learnt the lesson. Sum it up .
