Teaching aids: (1) pictures cards (2) Recorder. Period one (Conversation, vocabulary, target, practice 1,2, chant) Teaching steps: 1. Organization of the class: greeting, songs of English. 2. Revision of the class: recite the lesson learned before. 3. Teaching of the new words: fly, read, sing, draw, swim, cook 4. Showing a picture of a boy /a girl, point to him/her and ask: Can you sing? Do the action singing. Let the pupils understand the meaning. Teach them answer: Yes, I can. /No, I can’t. 5. Listen to the recorder, learn to read the words. Practice: read after the teacher or the tape, then by themselves or let the students play the words game. 6. Do activity 1, pay attention to he answer wrong or right. 7. Listen to the tape of conversation. Teach how to read. Students read it freely. 8. Act the dialogue in pairs. 9.listen to the target. 10.Teacher asks the question freely in the middle of the students. 11. Let the pupils do it like just now. Ask some students to act the little teacher. 12. Do the practice 2 themselves and check four students. Listen to the tape and read the chant. 13. Now, can you fly? No, I can’t. Understand? Ss: (Talk about it. Change words.) (Listen again the chant!) T: You can say: I can.… Oh,group 4, you can try? OK! T: Everybody, you can say. Good!
